Organized on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the Cleanliness Drive was conducted to promote the values of hygiene, dignity, and collective responsibility inspired by Mahatma Gandhi. The initiative aimed to encourage environmental awareness and active civic participation, especially among children and youth. The half-day drive involved cleaning of streets and public spaces in the Dhobi Ghat area with active support from community residents, volunteers, and representatives of more than 13 organizations. An awareness session on waste segregation, personal hygiene, and proper disposal of garbage was also conducted. Children and youth actively participated in cleaning activities and learned practical methods of maintaining cleanliness.Although no material items were distributed, the drive created a visible improvement in the cleanliness of the area and strengthened awareness about sanitation and public responsibility. The large-scale collaboration made this one of the most impactful joint initiatives of the year and laid a strong foundation for future community-driven campaigns.
